Ms. Wanming is responsible for ensuring that FTSE Russell’s index policies and methodologies accurately reflect market practice, and provide transparent, usable guides to index events. As part of her role as guardian of FTSE Russell’s index methodologies, Wanming engages with regulators, investors, and market authorities to support the FTSE Equity Country Classification process. Wanming also analyses and advises on complex index treatments and corporate actions.

Ms. Wanming also liaises with and presents to FTSE Russell’s external advisory committees, whose members comprise leading investment market professionals from the asset owner, asset manager and investment consultant communities. An independent committee structure supports the FTSE Russell Index Governance Board by helping to ensure that all indices reflect their underlying market and that the Index Methodology evolves in line with the highest standards of the industry.
