Ms. Vu Thi Chan Phuong began her career at the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) in September 1998. She previously held positions as Deputy Head of the Inspection Department for Stock Exchanges and Trading Centers and Deputy Chief Inspector of the SSC. In July 2016, Ms. Phuong was appointed as the Vice Chair of the SSC.

She is also the first female Chair of the SSC since the organization’s establishment.
