Mr. Tuong co-founded the MoMo with the vision of promoting financial inclusion in Vietnam by using mobile technology to give Vietnamese people access to superior, simpler and affordable financial solutions and daily services. Mr. Tuong believes that technological solutions have the potential to enhance people’s lives, and has placed this belief at the core of MoMo’s development process to date. This vision has driven many initiatives that have shaped the landscape of fintech in Vietnam, laying the foundation for collaboration between fintech companies and banks, financial institutions and many merchants.

Under Mr. Tuong’s leadership, MoMo has evolved into Vietnam’s leading super app. In addition to its role as a platform driving cashless payments, MoMo also serves as a platform providing financial services for the underprivileged, supporting SMEs in digital transformation, and fostering community engagement in charitable endeavors..

In 2023, The Asian Banker, a leading financial services research and advisory institution in Asia, recognized Mr. Tuong with the “Innovation Leadership Achievement Awards 2023” for his notable innovative accomplishments, personal vision, and substantial contributions to Vietnam’s fintech industry.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) and holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo (USA) and a MBA from the University of Chicago (USA). Mr. Tuong has nearly 25 years of experience in the technology and finance sectors.
