Bloomberg Businessweek Vietnam Symposium Private Series (Invitation Only)
The BBWV Symposium Series is an exclusive, invitation-only forum designed to bring together a select group of business leaders, policymakers, investors, and industry experts for focused conversations on the issues shaping Vietnam’s future.
Unlike large-scale conferences, each Symposium is intentionally curated for 100–120 participants, creating a more intimate setting for deeper dialogue, meaningful connections, and actionable insights.
The inaugural Symposium will focus on Infrastructure — the foundation of Vietnam’s next growth phase. As the country accelerates investment in transportation, energy, logistics, and digital connectivity, infrastructure will play a critical role in driving competitiveness, investment, and long-term economic growth.
The BBWV Symposium Series is where leaders come together not only to discuss the future — but to help shape it.
Overview
Vietnam is entering an unprecedented era of national transformation and reconstruction. With infrastructure investment needs projected to reach nearly USD 1.5 trillion, both the Government and the private sector will need to work in tandem to deliver mega projects spanning from North to South Vietnam.
The question is no longer whether Vietnam can execute its ambitions, but rather: how can Vietnamese businesses seize what may be a once-in-a-century opportunity? Instead of waiting while opportunities pass by, this is the moment for businesses to move decisively, from strategy to action.
Organized by Bloomberg Businessweek Vietnam, “Infrastructure: The Foundation for Vietnam’s Next Growth Engine” will convene more than 150 top executives, leaders, policymakers, investors, and financial institutions to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and solutions shaping Vietnam’s next phase of growth.

Editorial Pillars
Vietnam’s Infrastructure Landscape
Over the Next Five Years
An outlook on Vietnam’s infrastructure development roadmap for 2026–2030, with public investment playing a leading role. Discussions will focus on priority projects aligned with the nation’s long-term growth ambitions — spanning transportation, energy, urban development, and industrial zones.
Capital Challenges and
the Role of the Private Sector
Vietnam’s infrastructure demand is rapidly outpacing the capacity of state budgets and traditional ODA financing. This pillar will address the critical questions: where will the capital come from, through which financing channels, and how can private capital meaningfully participate in systemically important projects?
Infrastructure:
From Logistics to Energy
If infrastructure is the foundation of growth, then industrial parks, logistics, ports, and energy systems are the critical bottlenecks that will determine Vietnam’s competitiveness in the evolving global supply chain.

Vietnam’s Infrastructure Capital Test
As fiscal capacity and ODA are no longer sufficient as standalone funding sources, Vietnam must expand new financing channels for infrastructure — from PPP models, long-term credit, bonds, and investment funds to private capital and international investors.
This session will explore key questions surrounding where capital will come from, how it can be mobilized effectively, and what mechanisms are needed to ensure investment not only flows into individual projects, but also creates broader spillover effects across the entire infrastructure system and the wider economy.

Beyond Industrial Parks: The Infrastructure Race for FDI 2.0
Alongside the implementation of Resolution No. 10, Vietnam is advancing its ambitions to move up the manufacturing value chain and attract a new wave of high-quality foreign direct investment (FDI).
Industrial infrastructure can no longer be viewed merely through the lens of land, factory space, and basic utilities. The next generation of industrial parks will need to evolve into integrated ecosystems, combining physical infrastructure with digital connectivity, data infrastructure, resilient energy systems, advanced logistics networks, and smart operational capabilities. Such an integrated approach will be critical to enhancing Vietnam’s competitiveness and positioning the country as a preferred destination for global investment.

Infrastructure Connectivity: Perspectives from Logistics and Seaports
Seaports are not only gateways for exports, but also critical entry points for raw materials, equipment, and cargo supporting domestic production. In Vietnam’s next growth cycle, the role of ports will expand beyond cargo handling capacity toward enabling end-to-end logistics connectivity — integrating ports, roads, railways, warehousing, industrial parks, and consumption hubs.
This discussion will explore how port infrastructure can reduce logistics costs, strengthen import-export competitiveness, and support Vietnam’s ambition to move up the global supply chain.

Powering the New Growth
The new economy — from semiconductors, data centers, AI, and smart manufacturing to green logistics — depends on one fundamental condition: reliable power supply.
This discussion will explore which energy sources Vietnam will rely on in the coming decade, from gas-fired power, renewable energy, hydropower, and transitional coal power to nuclear energy. The session will also identify priority sectors and strategic projects needed to strengthen energy security, modernize the national grid, and support the growing demands of high-value industries.
