Overview
Under the Stock Market Development Strategy until 2030, Vietnam aims to develop a stable, safe, healthy, efficient, sustainable and integrated stock market that serves as an important capital mobilization channel. Stock market capitalization aims for 120 percent of the country’s GDP by 2030. Vietnam’s stock market aims to be upgraded from a frontier market to an emerging market by 2025, following international classification standards. The new status can bring positive impacts to Vietnam but can also lead to risks and challenges.
